  "It's ok, but not great"

  Pros: Free and an alternative to Outlook.

  Cons: Too much configuration has to be done within the configuration edit program or directly to the configuration file, rather than in the basic menus. Additionally, the on-line documentation is sparse or non-existent for some items.

  Summary: Ok, but don't throw away Outlook. Thunderbird has been out for quite a while and I had expected a bit more. read more

  "won't work for me"

  Pros: I like the appearance of it.

  Cons: it won't work for me I have tried everything to get it to work.

  Summary: If it works for you fine, it not delete the program as I am going to do. read more

  "Postbox is better"

  Pros: There's an open forum for reporting and discussing bugs and errors.

  Cons: Does not have key features for managing large mailboxes - like searchability. Organization tools are too basic or lacking (tagging conversations).
  UI not attactive and usability could be improved.

  "The earlier version worked better."

  Pros: Ease of use. Style. No problems with using various accounts (I have 6 set up). Spam filter good although I do have an additional one as well.

  Cons: Inflexibility of moving emails into Outlook. Exporting and importing to another computer. The slow downloading is frustrating. Outlook and IncrediMail much quicker.

  Summary: Dislike the complications of exporting and importing. The forum/help too technical. Prefer the speed of booting up and downloading of Outlook. Also the ease of exporting/importing. For a free program - prrefer IncrediMail read more

  "Excellent, but needs slight refinements"

  Pros: 1 Updates itself & addons, so simply, keeping all your setting, emails, etc
  2 Security excellent
  3 Runs smooth & fast
  4 Looks nice
  5 Very customizable
  6 Multitude of addons & themes
  7 Automatic email download function
  8 Ideal for novices

  Cons: The Address Book is :
  1 Crude
  2 Annoyingly automated
  3 No folders
  4 Addresses must be multiple entry
  5 Difficult to understand & use.
  Configuration is SMARTARSED with Outgoing Server settings HIDDEN in Local, instead of each email setting
