"I Like Mozilla Firefox 17.1 It Is My Default Browser"

    December 30, 2012  |   By RamblingRam

    Pros

I have been using Mozilla Firefox for about 3 years now, and everytime they develop another version, I usually download it the first oportunity I get. I don't think you can go wrong in downloading it and using it, even if you have another browser your using, it could very be a good second back up, as I believe its one of the top three browser out there to use. An added benifiet, is the very large selections of AD ON's, some that you might be very interested in using, such as the "Do Not Track Me", this is a good addition that keeps all sites from tracing you while on their site.

    Cons

Over the last year, it seems a lot of individuals are using Chrome, but I have to say that it is just a little faster in loading up the web site, but not by much, other than that I don't have anyother cons against it.

    Summary

If you don't currently have Mozilla Firefox version 17.1, go ahead and give it a trial run, the worst thing that can happen if you don't like it, is to "Uninstall" it, but I think if you give it a chance you will enjoy it and can at least add it to your other browsers or have it as a back-up in case your default browser runs into trouble is down for an extended period of time.

Yesterday I download Mozilla Firefox 17.0.1 on my wifes Laptop, and when she went to the opening page, there was something called "Smart Start" on it, and she was not pleased one bit and I tried several times to get her problem resolved but to now avail I could not get rid of it. If Mozilla is going to start adding things that individuals like myself that has been using Firefox for year is going to put this added "crap" on an upgrade, I think I will have to think about using another browser, and that would be ashame, as it was truly a real browser to use, but now with this added crap, people are going to think twice about upgrading to a new version of Firefox and look for a better solution for a Internet Browser. I have submitted a "bug" report with Mozilla, so lets see what kind of response I get from them and I hope a solution to resolve my wifes and my problem with this uneeded add on!

I agree with what you said, but Chrome does not crash, Mozilla does, so does Safari, I have used Mozilla for years and have put up with, when closing it, you cannot try to reopen it right away, then Adobe has a problem working on it - via it either crashes or more likely, locks up. I believe Mozilla is going the opposite direction, their are more bugs. Safari, not a fan of Apple, it is slow to load and also crashes, very frustating, good luck, I will see how chrome holds up.
