"Upgraded Computer to cope with FF. Wast of time."

    November 15, 2012  |   By Vanillaman

Let's be honest, Mozilla Freezefox is only populare because of its add-ons and its perhaps security settings, period. Other than that....

Despite upgrading my PC to Windows 7, 8GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, 3 Core, Freezefox just consumes way too much time and slows my day down. It buffers each new tab for way too long and does the same for. YouTube videos, so I cannot watch them in peace. It takes a major effort to get it to load anything. I have scanned and checked my broadband speed, ans still it struggles???

Don't believe the hype. It's good, if you want the add-ons. But, that's all. It is extremely slow and will frustrate you, despite having a top range, high performance PC.

What you say about the buffering is true. But is pretty obvious you keep many tabs open (over 6 maybe). But the same delays chrome although it's buffer scheme is obviously different.

Both are great browsers, but each CANNOT do all well, therefore I run both and CAN do all well.

There's a time and place for the absolute use of each.

Just a not on YouTube video's. As of recent there has been issue with there servers. Maybe a dos if even possible, cause I do not get the same speeds from these servers I normally get on any browser... Not you, but many blame their browsers for bad video streaming when it's their servers that are at fault.
