"Something is very wrong with version 17"

    December 1, 2012  |   By charliejh

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

I am a Firefox fan as it has everything you could want in a browser BUT....

    Cons

I have a brand new windows 8 computer that is fast in IE-10, Google Chrome but very slow to load web pages when using Firefox 17. As in previous versions of Firefox it slows down when trying to load web pages. If Chrome and IE-10 load fast then why doesn't Firefox?

    Summary

I would use everyday if I had the speed it claims it has.

"Continue not to notice an differences; five stars!!"

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

Easy to use and navigate. Ample add-ons. Does the job I expect it to. I do not normally see any "ah-ha's" with this browser, which in my opinion makes it good! Seemless updates.

    Cons

Haven't noticed any to speak of.

    Summary

Keep on doing what you're doin!!

    "A fast, intelligent, excellent browser"

    November 30, 2012  |   By tomstars

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

I have used most browsers including IE, Opera, Maxthon and Chrome.
Firefox hands down blows them all away. Why is FF great? Speed. It is consistently the fastest browser by far. It is also extremely customizable. You can make it look and act exactly how you like and a lot of this customizing ability is built in to the browser. You can also select from a huge assortment of add-ons.

I also like that I can have a unique search field separate from the URL field. The favorites button allows you to add favorites and also lists all the favorites all from the same click (chrome should get a clue here).

I was an IE fan for a while until they changed the browser to include a combo url/search field that can't handle email address searches. Chrome does it better but lacks an intelligent favorite button design (one click add favorites and list favorites) and honestly does not seem all that fast.

Firefox is updated frequently and seems to always get a little faster each time.

    Cons

Not much. I do have a friend that when he closes FF sometimes the process remains and he has to launch task manager to close it so he can relaunch the browser. I haven't experienced this much.

Overall I'd rate Firefox excellent in every way.

    Summary

Very fast, customizable, intelligently designed and updated frequently, it it the best browser available.

    "Still not impressed"

    November 28, 2012  |   By gorge548

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

Better than IE, but worse than Google Chrome. Ease of use. They were the first to come out with Tabs.

    Cons

I can never get videos such as YouTube to work without locking up my computer. Older versions of Firefox allowed AUTO FILL. Too many updates.

    Summary

I used Firefox for years and considered it the best browser. I encouraged my friends to use it and they liked it much better than IE. No more. Now I'm telling my friends to switch to Google Chrome. Faster and never any problems. Also allows Auto Fill and doesn't lock up when I play a video.

    "Huge improvement in loading times"

    November 28, 2012  |   By DaDreamWizard

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

I use both Firefox & Chrome. More advantages with Firefox and was more speed with Chrome. Well everything just flipped a switch for me. Firefox now started and loaded quicker then Chrome. Not only the speed, I feel there's additional stability under the hood but I can't put a finger on it.

    Cons

at the moment, uh..... let me think.....

    still thinking....

    guess not.

    Summary

I stress the browsers I use more then an average normal user would. My browsers can open with 13 pages or more at times, and sometimes with 2 windows, even 3 (not often).

It was weird. After using Firefox and noticing something was different I figured it was cached luck. Then I started up what I thought to be the faster browser to find myself tapping my fingers, I look up thinking I clicked the wrong icon. I repeated this browser startup at least 5 times back and forth.

Amazing what a little? programming savvy can do. Yo, Mozilla, what took you so long?

Nice............ Glad I never dropped ya as I have others.

"FAST and BEAUTIFULL(if you install some nice'personas')"

    November 25, 2012  |   By salesalex

    Version: Mozilla Firefox 17.0

    Pros

-easily adding a search provider when site has that option is the thing which I like the most of all = I have added CNET as a search provider and it is cool =I just do one click to change search provider then mark some text + right click on it + searh via CNET= voila ,it opens CNET page which matches that text. And that works for youtube ,wikipedia and every decent site.

-very cool feature is add, remove or replace the default icons on mozilla's interface, just right click near some icon and click on 'settings'.

-you can change HOME page into every one you want(google, bing etc.)

    Cons

1.I must update adobe flash plugin and MOZILLA FIREFOX manually ,but I think that is better that way .

    Summary

1.haters of MOZILLA are either lazy or very ignorant people.
    2.read my ''pros''

    Updated on Nov 26, 2012

I think that 'TAB MIX PLUS' add-on is not secure thing (it is spyware or adware) and that is the reason that MOZILLA left it behind. If you want to open like ten or more pages automaticaly when F.F starts you should do next: 1.Make'favorites bar' always visible 2.make new folder on it 3.drag and drop in it every bookmark that you want on start 4.click on big orange button-go to options window and click on the left button 5.in the 'my first page' just click 'use bookmark' - find it - click on it - OK - save - restart FIREFOX -and wait for some time for pages to load (depending on your internet speed). And btw. I don't think that people who use MOZILLA are it's haters .
