Fast at loading page

Deleted several 3rd party programs when said they would stay and would be worked around--work around they did--disabled them till further notice--My file downloads are now 30% slower from same sources--has crashed 11 times in 2 days.
Summary
The 3.6 version is the most stable and compatible version out there and better file download speeds.----Don't matter if page loads a second slower--It's the 300 to 500 meg files speed that counts.--Google is way faster than this but is not 3rd party compatible very much.

Toolbars use too much screen space and are so transparent they are hard to read. What was wrong with the old version?

I don't care about all the whiz-bang fancy stuff - I just want a browser that brings up web pages, is clear and readable and which I don't have to spend hours learning how to configure so that I am comfortable with it. Why reformat everything just to add some feature or the other?

Started getting first time-ever "high memory use" alerts occasionally w/ V7; now regularly w/ new V8 on my 1G RAM PC.
