"Much faster than Internet Exployer 8"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
Web sites are faster. Able to personalize alot more items.
Cons
Still trying to figure out the add on's. Not familiar with Firefox yet.
Summary
So far, Firefox is much better than Internet Exployer 8. I have Opera also and it is on the same level as Firefox as of now. Still exploring this product.

"Awesome Browser!"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
-Fast speed
-Frequent updates to make the browser very secure
-Thousands of add-ons and themes making it the most customizable browser out there. No other browser comes close.Cons
-There is nothing for me to complain about.
Summary
I have been a raving fan of Firefox for years and will continue to be one. Its the most complete browser out there.
Want a feature? Theres a good change some developer made and add-on to suit your needs. Want a theme, like make your browser look like IE, Safari, or Chrome or something completely random? Check out hundreds of Firefox themes. No other browser matches the customization!
Mozilla is one of the fastest (if not THE fastest) in patching security holes and vulnerabilities.New versions are usually released once a month with some out of band updates (such as Firefox 3.0.8). This makes it extremely secure, adding on to the antiphishing, antimalware, and all the security add-ons you can get.
I have tried numerous browsers including Chrome, Opera, Safari, Avant, and IE and Firefox is by far the most feature rich with a very speedy loading and rendering. While Chrome may be faster in some cases, its barely noticeable and I don't think its worth the loss of so many nice features.
It is my favorite and default browser for years and will continue to be in the future. -
"Unstable is as unstable does"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
All the usual upgrades and widgets, relative speed to Explorer
Cons
Ever since Firefox 3.0.5 the browser has been unstable, on my XP desktop w/ 3 Ghz of RAM, on my wife's Vista laptop, AND on my Macbook w/ 2 Ghz of RAM. I stripped it down on all three platforms and with every proceeding upgrade, UNSTABLE!
Summary
I have loved and been a loyal user of Mozilla browsers since the "old days", but FFx has been a problem child since 3.0.5 and it continues with its most recent upgrade. As described above in another review, it not only freezes the browser, but requires a forced quit/soft reboot to get the CPU to start operating again. This very disappointing in addition to troublesome when email or documents are lost before a full save. I will always try the most recent FFx and I'm certain the talented and dedicated engineers at Mozilla will find a solution to this problematic issue.

"Seizes up your entire computer"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
Works most of the time but those times are becoming more limited as newer versions of Firefox 3 are released.
Cons
Very unstable since Firefox 3.
Summary
I have been a long time Firefox user (since the days of Netscape 3.01 Gold). Ever since Firefox 3 has been released I have noticed one major issue, it's unstable. It doesn't take much to cause Firefox 3 to not only seize up but to lock up your entire computer under Vista Home. Unfortunately the "End Task" feature in Vista is about as useful as a "Hello World" button that does nothing.
Mozilla really needs to get their act together. If this keeps up then I might have no choice but to switch to the dreaded IE. At least in my experience IE doesn't size up and cause your whole computer to need to be rebooted via the power button.
After my years on a PC I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's time to move to a Mac. -

"It is now unusable"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
It used to be the best available.
Cons
There are now lots of errors and bugs in it, I am not able to update to 3.0.9 as 3.0.8 is not compatible????
Summary
I also will have to switch back to IE, because none of my Google apps will work with Opera.
There is a very large forum, dedicated to Firefox users. This appears to be the only support available, however, there is no one from Mozilla actually monitoring this. There are lots of people asking questions, but there are no answers coming from the software owner, only from people who think that they might know the answer. If I could see that there was a proper support facility in place and that they were trying to address problems, then I would be prepared to stay with it until they sort the problems out, but no one appears to be even interested that there are problems. If Opera get their act together, there is a huge potential here for them. -
"On its way out. Going down hill fast, since 3.0.8"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 3.0.9
Pros
None. Don't give yourself the hassle with this Turkey.
Cons
Firefox is on its knees and finished. Ever since the last update, it has been beset with bugs. If loads multiple tabs on startup, including updated add-on homepages and progs.
Summary
NO REAL SUPPORT, AS ITS JUST A GIMMICK & A COP-OUT. BUGS, BUGS, BUGS. Support is designed to give you the run around everywhere, so Mozilla can avoid customers. Their chat support is never open. And, yes, I've tried every suggestion, eg. homepage settings. Back to Internet Explorer.
