Summary
This is the best browser available. It is very easy to use and is similar to internet explorer in layout. It surpasses IE in its features. I do not get pop ups when I am using this. Instead of opening new windows for multiple WebPages, you can use tabs. Tabs make web browsing more organized. It also has all the popular search engines pre loaded for easy access. If there is one that you want, you can easily add it on. You will be satisfied with the browser.

Even better, Firefox is just what it promises to be - a browser. It is not bloated down with megabytes of useless junk, but only higly usefull features for web browsing. Additional features are easily added through the extension system, and allows you to get a browser with the functinality YOU want. nothing more, nothing less...
Overall, a GREAT browser. Have been using Firefox since version 0.5 now, and will never go back to IE again. Firefox 1.0 is HIGHLY recommended. -

Summary
I downloaded Mozilla PR1.0 for the first time last week.. played around with it and didn't impress me at all. Slow (I am running DSL) and very buggy. Everytime I ran a video clip requiring a plugin, it crashed with a runtime error on every close of the program! I run Win2K SP4 and NO OTHER program on my PC crashed like this :(
even on mozilla's website they claim to have cleaned up to 250 bugs from the 0.9 version-- wayyy to much! Turns out the 1.0 final is the same as the PR.. still crashes on same thing.
I'll stick with Netscape 7.02-- another "mozilla" browser that is so much more stable and better. I recommend installing the custom install of netscape just to install the browser. And delete all the AOL/AOD it puts on your HD doing a search for files afterwards. It won't hurt the program at all. I have since uninstalled Firefox.. If your looking for another alt browser, recommend Opera.
