Mozilla Firefox beta User Reviews

"Solid, stable, fast and efficient."
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 13.0b4
Pros
Everything about it
Cons
Personally have not found any, tho I would like to play with the new tab layout I keep hearing of, with the "icons" for common and favorite web pages on it.
Summary
I've had to laugh reading some of the reviews claiming its a resource hog, that it doesn't log into FB, and the like. I've been using Firefox for close to a decade now, and I've never had those problems. And despite being a techie of sorts, I don't have some all powerful Core I7 system. I'm running an Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0Ghz with 4gb G-Skill RAM and onboard Radeon 4250HD video. On Win XP PRO SP3. It cost me $400 to build my system with a 22" LED back-light monitor. It's reasonably fast but not a superstar. And let me say it again, Athlon II X2 3.0 with onboard video. I have never seen it do anything resembling a resource hog. Like Internet Exploder always turns out to be. Firefox requires half the system resources of IE regardless of what I'm doing

"Had Firefox on my PC since it first came out."
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 12.0b5
Pros
It makes a great default browser.
Cons
Biggest issue they have never dealt with is signing on to Facebook, it won't display email & password, browser has to be restarted and it will usually work for a while? After researching this issue it goes back to 2009 maybe further! There hundreds of references to this issue. My conclusion is geeks although smart don't have the common sense to listen to their pee-on users hence the lapse of a useable browser between version 3.6 and 10.0 and a huge loss of users over those years.
Summary
Firefox is still my default browser, yes I still cuss it every-time it won't sign into facebook? It otherwise works very-well, speed is good and I even have a few add-on's they some day may get my 5th star but not yet.......
Oh yea! Chrome browsers always sign in with no issue's !

"Connections still too slow"
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 12.0b1
Pros
I've been a big fan of Firefox & used it as my default browser for many years. Some of the reasons are still around in recent iterations.
Cons
That said, the new versions during the last 6 months have slowed down my ability to make connections so much that I no longer use it as my default browser. Chrome & Opera are much faster.
Summary
If the problem with slow connections can be cleared up, I'll go back to Firefox.

"firefox is getting slower"
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 12.0b1
Pros
its easy to use and uncomplicated which definately cant be saiod for ie9
Cons
it was fast at first but after two days started having problems with it connecting after that i reverted back to firefox 11 full version firefox needs to concentrate on how they can speed their browsers up chrome is much better ive got chrome revert between the two but chrome always get 2mb faster download speeds than fire fox
Summary
firefox needs to include certain items like java and flash in their browsers without having to add plugins and needs to update them more frequently without.its so annoying that you have to keep checking the plugins to see if they need updating .this should be done automatically
I GAVE FIREFOX 1 STAR BUT ITS NOT NEARLY AS BAD AS IE 9 SO I THINK 3 STARS WOULD BE APPROPRIATE WOULD OF GOT 5 IF IT COULD MATCH OR EVEN BETTER CHROMES LIGHTNING SPEEDS

"STOP THROWING MY CURSOR IN THE ADDRESS BAR!"
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 10.0b6
Pros
Its as good as the previous versions.
Cons
Everytime I open a new tab, it goes to my home page, which is good... however my home page is google search and instead of the cursor defaulting to the text entry field, it defaults to the address bar and I start typing there expecting it to be in the text entry field. I hate this!
I reverted to FF v 9 and at some point it FORCED me to upgrade to 10 and before I knew it I had a new version.Summary
I hate that it defaults the cursor to the address bar.

"Always crashes"
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 11
Pros
None that I can see over previous versions.
Cons
Crashes every 1 to 3 days. Especially if a number of tabs are left open overnight.
Hogs the processor & slows the entire machine.Summary
Need to work out the bugs.

Cons
a lot quiker and more fun
Summary
very good

"It's fast again!"
Version: Mozilla Firefox beta 10.0b4
Pros
As a longtime Firefox user, I was disappointed by how slow the latest versions were at making connections, but this iteration has speeded up again, so I'm switching back to Firefox from Chrome as my default browser. Hooray!
Cons
Can't think of any drawbacks, unless this sucker starts to slow down.
Summary
I'm really happy to have Firefox back where it belongs, at the head of the pack.
