"Ugly and Unstable"
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0.1
Pros
Firefox is relatively fast - especially compared to Safari - and displays most web pages properly.
Cons
For a start, Firefox is just ugly. Even though there are a fair few skins out there, they only appeal if you like the garish. Unfortunately, there is no option for the sleek look of safari. But my real qualm about FF is the number of time pages inexplicably 'die.' What I mean is that for example I won't be able to type in a google search no matter how many times I refresh the page. Eventually, you have to close the window and start again - a real pain if you have a bunch of tabs open.

"Customization makes this browser surpass Opera and all others."
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0.1
Pros
Unsurpassed customizability. Nearly as fast as Opera after customizing config. Excellent extensions with more inevitably to come. More customizable mouse gestures than Opera. Slickest looking browser (after customization). Very decent tab handling. But most of all, it's open-source: this is something that FF always has over other browsers. If there is something you wish it had, chances are good that someone else thought so too, and wrote an extension to do it. My browser feeds me weather, works with iTunes, blocks all Ads (not just popups), finds directions through MapQuest by highlighting and right clicking, saves my tabs in case of crash, and much more. Customization puts FF way over any other browser, and inches it past Opera's speed, which is a sacrifice for its handling of only 'standards'.
Cons
Not as fast as Opera, even after customizing the about:config.

"FAST and EASY to use"
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0.1
Pros

-
"it's not all that"
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0.1
Pros
- absolute pro: security.. It lets no spyware through, no pop ups.
Cons
- It's not any faster than IE (customize IE folks)
- The biggest disadvantage is, just like the other browsers, that in the last years, lots of scripts are IE minded, so even in FF things are not always that looking good in websites.
- And FF has serious probs with java

"For mac version, this feels a bit better than safari and much better than IE"
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0
Pros
As other reviewers have commented, it is a faster browser as compared to the others. Nice browsing. Interestingly, the interface and the functions are more or less like Safari. The load time and the stability appears to be better than Safari . IE for mac is just incomparable.
Cons
I do like the browser but there are drawbacks. For example, when you print from the browswer with larger data, like from a database, the browswer would freeze reqardless of how many times you restart the browser or the computer. I would have to switch back and forth between Safari and Firefox for printing some webpages. Also, I have to force quit the program a few times but it is not fatal. Good browser overall.

"Great standards-compliant, blazing fast browser w/ a few UI shortcomings"
Version: Mozilla Firefox (Mac) 1.0
Pros
This is an amazing browser and had I not been using Safari for the past two years I would be screaming it's name off of every mountain top. It's lightweight and renders true to the new CSS standards. I love it for testing web pages and for speeding through sites that would normally drag on any other browser, even Safari.
Cons
However, I, like many, find myself switching back and forth between FireFox and Safari for interface reasons. The tab system for Safari is the best of any browser on any system hands down. I feel sorry for Windows users who may never experience what it's like, as Mozilla's and Firefox's tab systems leave a bit to be desired. It would definitely be nice to have a streamlined way to transfer bookmarks b/t Safari and Firefox.
