"Don't Download if you have previous Firefox versions!!!"
Pros
Cannot tell.
Cons
As the warning suggests don't download this version if you have 1.0+ versions running on your system. All my extensions are now permanently disabled and are incompatible with this version. I think it's irresponsible of Download, com to advertise this release prominantly when few people can actually use it without problems. No internet problems, but it's obviously not the same!

Hey mp208, if you took 5 seconds to read the initial description of the software you downloaded would have seen these words:
"Bon Echo Alpha 1 is a developer preview release of the next-generation Firefox browser and it is being made available for testing purposes only. Bon Echo Alpha 1 is intended for Web application developers and the Firefox testing community. Current users of Mozilla Firefox 1.x should not use Bon Echo Alpha 1."
All I did was copy and paste that text above. I think YOU are irresponsible for using Firefox in a way that was not in conjunction with the explicit instructions stated above.
Also, anyone who complains about an Alpha Or Beta versions not running smoothly on their computers are complete idiots because there is almost always a disclaimer EXPLICITLY stating these programs are being used for TESTING PURPOSES (do I need to say that again???) T-E-S-T-I-N-G P-U-R-P-O-S-E-S. That means not all the bugs are ironed out (if any). If you have a complaint, tell the makers of the software. That's what they are looking for.

there was a clear warning that this is NOT a stable release, it's not even a beta. an alpha release is one where no bugs have been grossed out yet, and in this case it was supposed to let other developers help with the code. normal users should NEVER use them, unless of course they have taken all cautions (which in itself, of course, is an oxymoron). there's a warning? follow it then, don't come back afterwards to complain that it doesn't work for you.

I have same problem but I've fixed because I've backed up my profile. If you have your profile anywere you can replace him in Documents and Settings\...\Aplication Data\Mozilla.
First uninstall FF 2.0, reinstall FF 1.x and replace profile.
