"This software is crap"
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Pros
Nothing
Cons
It has hosed my computer. Too much work just to remove and fix now.

"Fujitsu-Siemens computer? Don't mind to install this tool..."
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Cons
I understand that it can't be easy to handle all kinds of sensors the different MB's have, but it must be possible to have some kind of autodetection. Other similar tools works, so why can't this one?
So if you have a Fujitsu-Siemens computer, don't mind downloading and install this tool. Go for Hardware Sensor Monitor instead which actually work...

"Motherboard Monitor has two updates available"
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Pros
Pros: Very useful if it works for your motherboard.
Unfortunately the author decided to call it quits three years ago. Motherboards released since that time may or may not be supported.
Nevertheless it's still worth a try. You may find that your motherboard works fine with this so it's still worth a try.
There is one update since 2004, it adds support for the following:
Added:
- Intel ICH7 Support
- Intel ICH8 Support
- Winbond W83627EHG Support
- Winbond W83627EHF Support
The name is MotherBoard Monitor update 2
If you can't find the update here, have a look on MajorGeeks and other download sites.
There is also a 2006 update written (apparently) by a different author.
Search for Motherboard Monitor 5 Update 3 on TheTechRepository
There is also a recent plug-in / update written by the same author to support multiple cores with Intel Core technology.
You can find the update and the plug-in at TheTechRepository.
Cons
Cons: No longer officially supported by original author.

So long, Motherboard Monitor
Alex Van Kaam, father of the much loved (and much needed) Motherboard Monitor, is calling it quits. After 7.5 years of development, Van Kaam says that he simply doesn't have the motivation to keep up the harrowing work involved to keep Motherboard Monitor updated. Apparently it has become increasingly difficult to get information from industry players, and Van Kaam doesn't have the financial resources to purchase all the hardware necessary to reverse engineer that information, either.
"The industrie itself, it is getting harder and harder to get any good info from companies, Abit and the Uguru was a good example but you can alsmost put any other name in the list, getting info from ATI, VIA, SiS, Asus is as good as impossible, and so I depend more and more on MBM users to help me with info and it is just plain frustrating to keep sending mails to companies asking for info and getting no or a BS reply back."
Van Kaam was adamant that this isn't about the money, rejecting outright the notion of making Motherboard Monitor into a pay-for-play application. Also, Motherboard Monitor won't be coming to an Open Source project near you, sadly, because much of the information required to make the application work was acquired under Non-Disclosure Agreements. Van Kaam, thanks for all of your hard work! During the height of the overclocking craze, Motherboard Monitor was always one of my first installs.

"No ATI Support???"
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Pros
Has some obscure mobo manufacturers.
Cons
Apparently, it does not support ANY ATI chipset, kind of odd considering ATI has been around for over 20 years. They do have other obscure mobo manufacturers, but not one of the biggest ones out there. Thats just messed up.

"My Review"
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Cons
Spyware alert! "motherboard monitor", get it?

"Not For Dell Users"
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Pros
No Pros as I never even got to try it out. Oh wait! I did get to uninstall it. Contrary to all other reviews where everyone had trouble uninstalling it, it uninstalled fine from my install/uninstall programs in my control panel. Also, if you go to your start bar, click on all programs and go to "Motherboard Monitor", there is an "uninstall" option. That probably works as well.
Cons
What I don't like is it doesn't support my Dell motherboard. In fact, if you own a Dell, don't even bother downloading it. Although it professes to support over 1100 mother boards, of all the Dell models it lists, maybe it supports 2 of them. I downloaded "SpeedFan" from CNet and that is a great utililty. In fact, it supports most Dell mother boards. I do not recommend this program.

"It doesn't support my MB (Supermicro P4SCT) so it's useless to me."
Version: Motherboard Monitor 5.3.7
Pros
It may be ok for some people - it does support a number of motherboards... But I wouldn't know if it's any good since it doesn't support mine I can't even test it.
Cons
Since it doesn't support my motherboard, it's useless to me and was a waste of my time downloading it. It could have had a link to the list of supported boards so people could see that their board isn't supported *before* they waste their time download it!
