"GOOD or BAD? This is ALL you'll need to know!"

by Vardanai on January 11, 2007

Pros: Ok, lets start off with the good things about Morpheus P2P. Morpheus has a lot of results coming up. Morpheus can connect up to 11 G1 hosts and 2 G2 hosts (From what I've experienced). Morpheus connects to G1, G2, and Neo network. Morpheus has its own built in media player which can play audio, video, and images. Morpheus has a customizable playlist. I can say that Morpheus has a real good interface. Morpheus also has it's own internet browser which is inside the program and it connects to any website you type down. When you download a file unlike Limewire which connects up to 11 hosts max, Morpheus connects up to 55 hosts which results into a way faster speed than Limewire. There are preferences you can configure and when you download Morpheus remember to go to the settings and enable Morpheus to connect to G2. Morpheus has a built in Chat rooms which lets you select the chat room that you think is best for you and chat with other hosts. Although most programs already enabled this feature but, Morpheus lets you drag files into a desired folder and save it there for future burning times. you can always press search more when the searching process is done to look for some more files in the networks. You can also always press Get more hosts to backup your file download with more hosts. Morpheus also lets you cancel uploads which leads to faster downloading speeds. Unlike Limewire, when using Morpheus' own media player you can fast-forward the songs.

Cons: Now, the bad parts. When I mentioned earlier on in the pros that Morpheus connects to a lot of hosts. Well, Morpheus sometimes connects to a lot of hosts not all the time. Especially G2 you will only see Morpheus connect to one G2 host only rarely would be connecting to more than one G2 host. Some files you download (This happens to a lot of popular, common, and desperately wanted files.) will give you a message telling you that "You've attempted to download a unauthorized copy of this file, Morpheus will now take you to the page in which the material will interest you (and it'll open your default browser). I didn't believe it at first but, when I was searching for some files on the bottom ads a naked girl showed up but this only happened once. It said somethingmate.com. Morpheus has two sides of ads; one is on the right side vertical about 5 inches on a 17" screen maximized. The other is on the bottom horizontal about 6" on a 17" screen Maximized. Morpheus probably has some infections that come with it, But, I can tell you that you won't even notice it because it doesn't even harm your computer. When you go to Morpheus.com it'll tell you that it has no infections. But, when it says that it is talking about the "Morpheus Ultra". The speed averagely is like the same as Limewire. When a message comes up saying agree on the toolbar press cancel or no. So, now the big question here is LIMEWIRE or MORPHEUS!? Thank You for reading.

P2P?? Are you actually trying to say that peer to peer network like the one morpheus has is an original P2P that hasn't been ruined by the fact that they show you a lot of eye candy that you can't touch.....even on the Ultra version. I loved the older versions that allowed you to actually download files....not anymore. They killed the p2p links in the older versions and the new ones are worthless.....unauthorized copy?? Why even show you a copy you can't download anyway? We already know why....they are scared. And this post will be censored. Save your time...don't bother with this file....it doesn't give you what you really want. And that's a crying shame............

ok, you either already got 5.3.2, or the new 5.4, and you're being sent to ebay, fer Gawd's sake. To fix this problem, open your Morpheus chat, and ask one of the room operators for help. They can help you obtain a slightly older version which has no such download restrictions, and which works great. That is Morpheus version 5.3.0; it can be installed right over the Morpheus you have now, and installing it solves your redline/redirect/"unauthorized file" problems. 5.3.0 is otherwise functionally identical to 5.3.2; it simply doesn't have the new copyright censor in it. When you download Morpheus 5.3.0,save it to your desktop; then exit the Morpheus you have now, by rightclcking the Morpheus logo, bottom right of your screen, and selecting "exit"; then doubleclick the Morpheus 5.3.0 file on your desktop to install it.

the unauthorized copy thing happends a lot. I really like morpheus and its my favorite downloading program. the version of morpheus with the unauthorized copy thing is said to have been hacked (i did some research which involved a google search:P) i don't think they're sure on who did it but i read in a couple articles that morpheus says kazaa did it. I'm not sure if theres any truth to this but I can't download any songs with the extension .mp3 anymore (most of them anyways). There was something in the programing that made a vunerability or something. if you go to the page after the unauthorized copy deal it will take you to ebay. They need to fix this somehow. I've also read somewheres else that downloading all your stuff is still very stable on previous versions of Morpheus without the error. hopefully we'll all be saved from this horrible incident with a brand new updated version of morpheus!
