Version: MixMeister Express 6.1.3
Pros: Generally, there isnt much wrong with this program, there are many things GOOD about it. This program is suitable for home users right through to proffessionals (who might want the pro or studio version). The official website doesnt market to home users, but it is very useful for general listening, with great effects, and a bit of fun too.
Cons: A few options and tweaks should be more accessable, rather then going through menus etc.

"Nice interface, poor sound quality."
Pros: The interface is nice, you have a timeline with keypoints to control track volume, bass, and treble levels. The software will automatically beatmatch and crossfade for you, but allows you to customize the transition.
Cons: The sound quality of the tracks was degraded after putting them through the software. There was an audible "crackling" sound on several of the tracks.

"Great mixer for fitness instructors"
Pros: I had been using a combination of WMP (for building my playlists)and Nero (for the ability to cross-fade) to do my CDs for class and had tried other programs before another fitness instructor mentioned this one. For mixing, this is THE Program! For me, the 49.00 price was easily justifiable. The program allows full control over how songs overlap, volume control, fade, and an interesting feature called beatmix which matches the beats on the end and beginning on two songs. It loads quickly on my machine and doesn't seem to eat up as much memory as Nero.
Cons: Although the search function is excellent, the library needs to be a little more customizable. You can sort by any column and add or remove columns from the list, but you can't change the positions of the columns! It's also a little slow (when compared with Nero) for burning, and weak when compared with Windows Media Player for playlist building.
Also, in order to print a song list for a CD or cover, you have to save a text file then export it into something like Excel to customize the content and then either print from there or paste/import into another program for further customizing! A real drag compared to even the simplest of label printing software. Not very intuitive.

Version: MixMeister Express 6.1.3
"A little pricey but and excellent product."
Pros: This product is very, very easy to use. You have control over everything right in front of you. I would recomend that you pay the extra $10 for a CD so you can use it in all your computers, I have 5 in my house.
Cons: I wish it would align the beats from one song to another better. If you have to move the beginning of a song, then you have to realign the beats all over. It's not hard, but just takes time.
Summary: For anyone that wants to make mixed CD's like I do for aerobics and step instructors at the club I belong to, this is an excellent product.
