"The Strange Case of the Vanishing Cursor"
Version: Miro 2.0.3
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This strange syndrome has actually gone on for the last few releases. It seems to crop up when watching something on HULU, as that is the only thing I watch other than stuff from the Miro Guide. Basically, after I leave full screen using the ESC key, the cursor is invisible--I can see it is there since my dock ''warps'' but the actual arrow cursor is in ''stealth mode'' until I click on some dock application. For troubleshooting reference, I'm on the last released, last generation MacBook Pro 17-inch model. Other than that strange thing, so far, so good. Also, it might be nice to know what changes happened between 2.0.2 and 2.0.3. Keep up the good work! Make iTunes nervous! -
"Love this thing (and dock badge is back)!"
Version: Miro 2.0
Summary

I am still loving this thing. I'm glad the dock badge is back to let me know a new episode/video is available. Some unsolicited suggestions: (1) How about a bigger set of buttons on the top of the Miro Guide? For some reason I find myself often looking for them because they seem to ''melt'' into the background--or I am constantly looking at the bottom buttons first and can't find the home button. Maybe a good idea is to put all the buttons on the bottom and allow for some customization (like a web browser). (2) What about a ''Channels'' bar or sidebar category? This would be a much more intuitive (and familiar) way to navigate. In fact, you could create a familiar ''TV remote'' type interface that is also familiar and allow for the favicons to represent the individual channel buttons. (3) How about a dedicated Hulu interface? In the current economic downturn and with many watching their TV this way, maybe a more customized Hulu (or other) type way to do this besides in the Sites or Feeds sidebar (see earlier ''Channels'' suggestion). (4) On this same note--what about a music interface? What if it provided an alternative to iTunes as an all-in-one media center? (5) How about Growl support? This would be kind of cool--to have a notification of some sort let you know that something is ready to watch. Again, great work and look forward to this taking more and more focus from iTunes or at least offering an alternative. -
"No dock badge"
Version: Miro 2.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using Miro for almost a year now and I've found it a great addition to my multimedia gathering scenario.
The latest Miro did fix one bothersome issue where a played video in the ''new'' list lingered instead of going away. That is thankfully gone so I don't have to click away to another list before going back to ''new'' anymore.
However, what happened to the helpful little green dock badge that indicated that there were new videos available? I for one would like to have that back. There seems to be no preference control to allow/disallow that either. -

Very easy to use. You get more than, (I'd say pay for but its free), you expect. I use it to get things my Eye-TV can't. You'll have a blast finding program that you'd never expect to find. I found training films for my hobby and more.

Video quality can be pretty poor on some things.
