Version: MiniMinder 8.3
"Works for me..."
Pros: The alarm is great, like something from a firehouse. Very distinct, which tells me to turn the computer off and go. Line under the day of month, which helps. Doesn't take up much space on my laptop.
Cons: Everything must be written in 24 hr. notation (not an issue for me). For example, 15:20 (which is 3:20 PM) Workout @ Gym. If you put 3:20 or 03:20 instead, the alarm will go off at that time in the AM with computer on.
Summary: If you're looking for a Day Planner, a Day Timer, a Franklin Covey-type system or an all-in-one type of planner, you may want to look elsehere. Same thing if you don't want to put everything into 24 hour notation. Otherwise, it's a great device with keeping track of things.
I haven't found a reminder type of gadget with an alarm like this one has. I like what MiniMinder does for me. I chose to wait a few months first before giving my opinion with MiniMinder. In spite of CNET's opinion, I encourage anyone reading this to consider using MiniMinder for a short while. Give it a chance. If you find you don't like it, try something else.
