Publisher's description
From Robert Webb :Minesweeper on 3D surfaces, with high-quality graphics and special effects when you win or lose. New tiles (not just squares) bring new challenges. Rotate boards in 3D to access tiles. World record times kept online. Submit new records from the program. Latest records are downloaded automatically. You'll even be told when someone beats one of your world records. The game can also offer hints when you're stuck, and has an auto-solver built in, so you can watch the computer solve a puzzle by itself.

Version: MineSweeper3D 2.2
"Great look, feel and features, and especially fun to play."
Pros: The different shapes to the cells really changes the "character" of the game. You will be more likely to successfully navigate through patches of triangles, but it will also be much slower. This can lead to different strategies to attack the board.
I have played all of the boards on all of the levels, (and completed nearly all of them), and each one has interesting qualities that make it different from the others. If you don't believe me try the Great Stellated Dodecahedron on Subdivision Level 1. It is much harder than most Level 4 boards. GSD Level 2 is only a little easier, and Levels 4 and 8 are even easier (but still quite challenging to complete quickly).
Cons: With so many interesting boards and levels to play, I often have trouble figuring which one I want to attack next. (ok, that's something I like about it too)

"The 3rd dimension does not add fun but multiplies it"
Pros: I love that one. I can spend hours playing it. There are a lot of different boards and some of them can be really tricky.

Version: MineSweeper3D 2.2
Pros: This is one of the most addicting versions of minesweeper.. one of the few software programs I'm proud to have bought. One of the first .NET programs I know of. Great job Robert!
Cons: I haven't come up against any startup errors, and the high scores work great for me. The mines blowing up can be a bit 'shocking' when you don;t expect it. ;)

Version: MineSweeper3D 2.2
"Minesweeper on the faces of regular polyhedra! Fully rotatable, with shading."
Pros: Other than a few minor glitches, the program is superbly done. I am very impressed with the auto-solver, and the number of distinct geometric shapes and difficulty levels. I have had the program for over a year and still have not played every level. I also love the 'mark mines to win' feature that alleviates the frustrationt of last-minute guessing.
Cons: Submitting new world records is tedious, and the software repeatedly gives an error each time it is loaded (although I cannot tell what the error is). In addition, viewing best times is difficult, although you can export the HTML document without trouble.
