Version: Mindjet MindManager 8.0
"Slow and bloated"
Pros: Office 2007-like interface; many keyboard shortcuts
Cons: Most operations run very very (very!) slowly on a modern computer, I can only imagine how long they take on a somewhat older computer. Lack of a handful of basic functionalities. Terrible support.
Summary: This program progresses at a painstakingly slow pace. I have been looking for a mindmapping solution for a long time, and while my decision has favoured open source software, MindManager was given serious consideration. I have, however, found the lastest version of MindManager to be embarassingly close in functionality to its predecessor, version 7. I honestly do not know what the programmers of this software call progress if not making their product faster and more useful.
