Other than not finding an easy way to hide (or kill) the Scanner Finder program from running at startup (mildly annoying, but not vital) Microtek ScanWizard worked flawlessly for me. -

...with fleas and degrees couldn't manage to rip OS X to shreds any more efficiently. Installation changed my System Preferences. Caused a lock-up requiring hardware reboot. Has a "Scanner Finder" that is like a virus--it launches at start-up, and there is *nothing* you can do to stop it. Giving their programmers a computer and OS X was like handing out machine guns to monkeys.
