Geared for multithreaded debugging. A complete and easy-to-use IDE which can be used for starters and advance software developers.
Cons
Only suitable for development on Windows.
Summary
Once you get started, all other environments will seem incomplete and not user friendly. I've used Visual Studio for some years now, and can safely say it's by far the best programming environment for Windows.

The intellisense is vastly improved in this version and the help is actually helpful. There is a lot of community support as well at the asp.net website.
Cons
Would like to see block commenting in VB.NET. You can get add-ons for this, but it is about time that it be included like every other language.
