Version: Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 2005
Pros
Was a great version control product in its time -- which was the 1990's to the early 2000's. Easy to use, integrates with many development environments.
Cons
Not very usable over the Internet. Branching and merging are not well supported.
Summary
There are newer alternatives like Vault, Subversion, Veracity, SourceAnywhere, Git, TFS, Mercurial.
Some of these, like Vault, have a VSS import. -
