"This Software Is Out Of Date!"

January 26, 2007  |  By davethewave83

 |  Version: Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

Pros

it runs multiple os at once.

Cons

ITS OLD, this is the trial. Why doesn't Download.com have the new freeware version of this? Microsoft released it into freeware so this link for the trial version should be obsolete

"NOT SOLARIS 10 COMPATABILE"

October 13, 2006  |  By master_tech

 |  Version: Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

Pros

At least it has a small file size

Cons

This product works with linux and windows, but I cannot install Solaris. It locks up everytime Sure, linux caused the os revolution, but Solaris is far superior from a development and back-end perspective. I recommend good ol VMware which actually allows the initial install.

"Very Cool"

November 24, 2004

 |  Version: Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

Summary

This is a very cool program. I don't understand the bad rep. I downloaded it to emulate xandros os. I havn't yet download xandros so I tried this on Win. 2000. It installed fine. And, best of all, it runs fine. In fact I'm typing on it right now. So it does indeed work. However, it is a little bit slow. It is plenty fast enough to surf the net and run other apps but I will not be playing games on it soon. I would reccomend to anyone who wants to emulate an o.s.

"another monopoly"

October 30, 2004

 |  Version: Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

Summary

For now most OS's might work in virtualpc, but they sure are dropping official support for them and soon they will just not work anymore! Why would they give support for it? Why would they just care that another operating system runs in their own program? They won't. For now it's just vmware against microsoft. I'm wondering how this will end.
