"Excellent"
Version: Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 1.0.3
Summary

Excellent program. The program itself is very small in size. Stable and fast for me (I'm using an iBook G4, 800MHz). And since I'm using a wireless network at home, I can access my PC files and programs wirelessly from my iBook, and I can turn on/off the music from my PC from my iBook as well. I had thought it would suck up alot of CPU cycles but the RAM usage (around 17MB for me) and CPU usage (around 5% for me) is amazingly low.
What's more, it's completely free! That's the reason I tried it in the first place, and I love this utility from Microsoft. -
"rdesktop.org better"

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection is a nice product when it works.
After lots of time wasted trying to get a once working Remote Desktop Connection working I down loaded, compiled, and started using rdesktop.org's solution. Works great and seems fast. No audio but that does not matter to me. -
"Still hasn't addressed time zone issue"
Version: Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 1.0.3
Summary

We put in a call to Microsoft's Premier Support; althought they didn't resolve the issue, merely confirmed the problem we already knew about, the response time once the call was authorized, was excellent.
The issue was that when connecting to a Terminal Server, the Mac's time zone information is not passed from the RDC to the Terminal Server; the TS sees anything related to time as 4 or 5 hours ahead, depending on whether the Daylight Savings Time setting is on or off.
This doesn't happen when connecting to a regular desktop. Of course, in looking at what it "supports", TS 2003 is not listed. Still, why WOULDN'T you want to hook up to a Terminal Server for PC-only apps, be they commercial or home-grown?
It has been a known issue within the Mac Business Unit, per the Premier Support knowledgebase, and yet even now, it is not addressed. We don't want to buy Virtual PC 7, as it has other issues, notably the speed, but it's like that's the way MS wants to drive you IF you want to run Windoze application on more than one machine.
Still, overall, the client is excellent; I've used the client for almost half a year in one form or another. I use it daily. The speed is phenomenal when compared to VPC; no comparison. If you don't have to connect to a more recent version of TS, then I would recommend it over VPC any day.
If they would fix the time zone redirection (Mac RDC only supports the older 5.1 protocol, needs the 5.2 version), and would allow multiple connections to multiple PCs (like the PC version can), I would give it 5 stars...6, if I could. But the laggardly slow update cycle, combined with the above problems, drag it down. -
"Brilliant!"

Got to give it to Microsoft - this is a brilliant application. SO much better than Virtual PC. If you need to run PC apps - don't buy VPC - just get hold of a cheap 2nd hand PC with XP Pro, install RDC on your Mac & away you go! Easily worth 5 stars, & that's before you find out the price! -

...everything

Free is cool, and since this is officially MS supports this it works fairly well. However, if you are going to connect to Windows boxes more then on a very ocassional basis, it is much better to shell out some cash and geting something like Timbuktu, which is a lot more powerful, and has a lot more security and features going between Macs and PCs. -
