"Excellent software"
Version: Microsoft Office Standard 2007
Pros
Limitless possibilities. Several new shortcuts to make you more efficient. Outlook 2007 is a must-have. Office 2003 was good, but this is better on so many levels.
Cons
Steep learning curve! Dedicate at least a week to understanding the new features and what the programs are capable of.

"Six months later, switching back to 2003"
Version: Microsoft Office Standard 2007
Pros
Pretty color
Cons
Every single command in Word seems to have been randomly shuffled to take more clicks and reside somewhere else. It is like changing the labels of a car's transmission so that P=Propel, D=Disengaged, N=Not Moving. Sure, you can learn it, but why?
Summary
This product seems designed to remove the advantages of American workers who have been used to all the previous versions of Office. Thus, newly developing nations will have workers with the same level of speed and expertise as experienced Office users in the U.S., giving corporations more incentive to outsource jobs.

Summary
DO NOT buy it if you have 2003 or hack it using RunAsDate.exe

"all the features are easy to use and high grade."
Version: Microsoft Office Standard 2007
Pros
Easy to use, excellent help feature, full of anything you could need in an office program.
Cons
The ribbon is a lot different from the classic tool bars and can be tough for someone who is not computer savvy to get used to.
Summary
At first I didn't like the change of look in Word and Excell, but now using them I love how easy the programs are to navigate. The best part is how much more I can do in Power Point. I love it.

"This will drive you mad!!"
Version: Microsoft Office Standard 2007
Pros
Outlook seems fine. Excel not too bad.
Cons
Word will drive you mad!!
Summary
Surely someone who has used a previous version of word should be able to use the new interface with minimum of effort?
Think again. Nothing is where you exect, or even where you can find it!
No tools menu, edit menu or help menu! I even had to ask around the office to find the damned 'help button' !
Everything is tooked away in some obscure corner. I even found features - like turning the auto-numbering off - which refused to work properly, after I had spent 15 minutes researching how to do this!! Well, maybe it was me, I don't care any more. I'm downloading open-office before I go insane. -

"Perfect Software"
Version: Microsoft Office Standard 2007
Pros
Has everything that a presentation software should have.
New saving formats by Microsoft.
Easy Interface.Cons
Nothing is bad.
Summary
It has a very easy interface with the best features amongst all presentation softwares. It is perfect for all student, home & business. The changed interface makes every work very fast and easier and is far better than Office 2003. Microsoft introduced some new formats like .xlsx , .docx etc which are not readable by the old version without compatibility pack in Office 2003. Overall the software has all the features of a presentation software with good graphics and interface.
