"2007 works Great esp. working with ACT Contact Software"
Version: Microsoft Office Professional 2007 12.0.4518.1014
Pros
The interfacing with ACT Software is so important to me and using Outlook & Excel mostly with Word as well is a joy to use. I like it even much better than 2003 version because of the features added to Outlook 2007. Thanks
Cons
the only thing that comes to mind is I would like to see that in the print function when the print area shows it necessary to print a second page across that, it would be nice to print all columns to fit the paper size as it was before.
Summary
I like the fact that you have changed the Program Options to be in one place it helps to set up what options I prefer to be set for my use. The one thing I would love to see if using Excel and formulas. If I have a formula I what to use what and where are the perimeters I need to know to set this up. If there were some examples of formulas that would seem kinda standard with some even being complex it would help. There are many times I would like to use Excel Columns and not sure how to use the formulas. I have learned some over the years I have been using Excel and reverted to the old files for formula layout to do smaller complex formulas. So if there is an area that explains this please let me know as I could be using these spreedsheets even mor eif I could get better at formulas.
If you can I would appreciate a reply by e-mail --- glen@strite.com.
Thank You.

"Is this too clever?"
Version: Microsoft Office Professional 2007 12.0.4518.1014
Pros
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook have some excellent features, albeit not always easy to find. I like the quick visual formatting, and in Word the ongoing word count.
Cons
None of the tool locations is intuitive. I waste time constantly searching for commands (Word). I have now reverted to Word 2003 rather than take 6 weeks for a project I know I can do in 3 days.
Summary
I feel that there is an element of the Mac here. I've noticed many times that, apart from DTP and graphics, Macs are used by intelligent people who have no interest in computing other than as a basic tool. They want the computer to do all the computing thinking for them. Office 2007 seems to be emulating this attitude. Where personal automation is not an issue, the new products are fine with some great new features. However, Word 2007 is a nightmare for any professional. Please allow us a choice of the old functionality as well as the new.
Preserve me from Word 2007. What a waste of time.
