"Somewhat a requirement for most newer Microsoft Mice."
Pros: Its free.
It works with every Microsoft mouse under the sun.
Provides some great customization options for users in the Mouse control panel link.
Cons: A requirement for most newer Microsoft mice. This software includes the drivers for those new mice.
A large download considering its a DRIVER. At least the size is attributed to the actual Intellipoint software as opposed to games or other junk like games.

Pros: They make ur mouse play in hands, amazing software for amazing hardware, they live upto their name.

"Good to have but Can do without"
Pros: Good to have but no big deal about the same as what comes with your computer. Only you can reassign commands and controls to the buttons and wheel.
Cons: Should do something about pan left and right.

"NOT compatible with Millenium!"
Cons: Download.com says this driver is compatible with Windows Millenium, which I am runing. When I tried to load it, I got this message, "Microsoft IntelliType Pro / Intellipoint: Setup cannot install this software because your computer does not meet the system requirements. To install this software, you must have a computer running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000. For additional system requirements and compatibility information, see the product package or the Microsoft Hardware Web site. OK". No product package comes with a download. Microsoft Hardware web site does show this driver to be incompatible with Windows Millenium.
