"Wierd horror story"
Version: Microsoft DirectX Runtime Web Installer (June 2010) 8.1
Summary
You may not believe this but I downloaded this program after I read all the negative reviews. I saw all the horror stories about improper installation but I never had any problems with Direct X so I trusted it. First to all those who said I didnt work because it was imprperlly installed is full of BS! It installs itself! Then all my software ran like !@#$ ! I rebooted rebooted and rebooted. Still my FR were slow and my contrlles didnt work. I was about to reinstall windows to get it off my PC when I relized I loand my 98SE disk to a co-worker. I backed up everything and prepared to re-install Windows the next day. However after my PC sat overnight it ran fine. Better than fine. DirectX did everthing it said it would. Go figure.

"Possible fix 0x887602eb error"
Version: Microsoft DirectX Runtime Web Installer (June 2010) 8.1
Summary
I had the same problem, which could be fixed by dropping it to 12mb on my card. However I can now use it with 64mb set, I notice that in the Advanced Tabs that the AGP was shown as (PCI mode). I went back and installed the GART Driver support, that was found on my ASUS v7100 Gf2/mx400 Disk. Reboot then checked same tab (PCI mode was gone and 4X AGP shown). This worked for me and may not be the ultimate fix but I have tried all of these driver updates, netmeeting etc.. But this one worked 4 me - Good Luck and please post back if this works for you so others can benifit

Summary
Every program that requires my 3D card (Geforce4 TI 4400) won't work properly, I have to wait for everyone to make new drivers that support this new direct X. I got this for Hitman2, and that won't even run.
Rubbish - Total Rubbish. -
