Pros
I've tried many other softwares to plan my database. Some of the open source competitors of this application (not to name them) are simply unstable, hard to deal with. I actually built my database on one of those, and had to start it over completely on microOLAP Database Designer because it was too hard to apply modifications to my design.
This one, on the other side, is the most advanced designer on the market. It is extremely easy to use (cognitive), and gets you to the point you want to go. It also supports forward and reverse engineering, directly connecting to your database and creating SQL queries to easily build your design. Supports many advanced features of MySQL (routines, domains...). Validates your queries and has advanced reporting options. In other words, this application simply crushes the competition.
I am software engineer. I have to deal with many design softwares everyday, and I can swear this one is the good one. To try absolutely!
Cons
A little expensive, but to save many hours dealing with unstable applications...

Summary
Other tools I ever try, are only work with existing databases, thats why mantain the same database structure on multiple database is very hard task.
