    "Once it was good"

    May 24, 2003  |   By Jerommeke

    Version: Meteo 1.2.9

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Once it was good, but also 1.2.9 does not change anything from 1.2.8's troubles. It ran over 30 minutes withtout a hitch, and suddenly it drove my CPU like mad showing the loading icon for ever.

"All is well.... well only minor things"

    May 24, 2003  |   By VersionTrackerUserOpinion

    Summary

I love this app!! Paid for weatherpop but this is the one i choose to use!!

All is well again in 1.2.9 except for some minor things: Safari is launching each time meteo does to tell me a new version is available (this happened in 1.2.8 too, no biggie) and the extended forcast icons are not showing up (i use weather.com)

This program is sweet. Similar program (free or otherwise) simply don't compare.

"1.2.9 works great now... crashing went away"

    May 24, 2003  |   By TitaniumWarrior

    Version: Meteo 1.2.9

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Folks, just because a program suddenly starts crashing one day isn't necessarily all the fault of one program and should you change or give such a harsh review. The developer has fixed it, and it works fine now. No more crashing or disappearing metero. Base your review on the products function, not on whether some bug or software conflict caused it to crash. If 1.2.8 was crashing from the beginning then I can understand a bad review, but it was working great from the beginning. As always all reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. For freeware, it's hard to complain. It gives me a great weather report when I need it. I drive thousands of kilometres a week, and it has consistently given me excellent reports. The product kicks on anything else out there.

    "Make Meteo Shareware"

    May 24, 2003  |   By Digital Dude

    Version: Meteo 1.2.9

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Yeah Meteo now regularly quits just after launch and again when its opened from file!. Ho Hum.... It would be a great shame to see this handy little application disappear forever, why not add some incentive to keep it going (like $5-$10 for shareware) or maybe merge with WeatherPop (still prefer those icons) just a thought

"This used to be a good program. :("

    Version: Meteo 1.2.9

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
What's happened since this thing went open source? It used to work, and whenever it didn't, there was a quick update fixing the problem. Now we get to open source v.1.2.8, and at first the forcast is off by 24 hours (International - weather.com), then as of last night (and I kid you not I've not installed anything new) with 10.2.6 it's crashing. The program loads, then poof - gone. So this has gone to useful to useless and now gives open source a bad name.

    "kinda like the weather...unpredictable"

    May 23, 2003  |   By riffraf

    Version: Meteo 1.2.8

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
All of a sudden (10.2.6?) Meteorologist just fades away quietly, without so much as an "unexpectedly quit" alert. Just "poof" gone. I take that back - no poof - just gone. As I often ask, What up wit dat? I might be going back to WeatherPop! Jeez... at least its there.
