    "Lean and mean"

    Pros

    The best thing about Metapad is its size, approx ~50k. And because of this, it loads lightning fast. That is something I appreciate in a text editor. The features provided are excellent and some are quite an improvement over the standard notepad features. Notable ones are the Hyperlink Support and the Quick Buffers which are used for adding commonly used strings quickly.

    Cons

    It just doesn't have an ample amount of features to be a tool in my arsenal. Granted its only 50k but since the WinXP notepad came up, this product doesn't have much use for me. I prefer a bigger programmers editor with syntax highlighting and indentation. This is strictly a notepad replacement.
