"All I wanted for X-mas..."

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
was a tiny, little app that put the date in my Menu Bar without reminding me at least once/day that I hadn't paid an absurd price for features for which I have absolutely no use.

HOORAY(!!!) for MenuCal which does just that (in a tiny, unobtrusive box) and uses a bit less RAM than does MenuCalendarClock to boot.

If the developer would only use a payment vehicle other than PainPal I'd dig into my pocket on the spot!

(Check the developer's website if you plan to use MC with iCal.)

"Good Start"

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
You don't lie- it needs work, but it doesn't crash, and could be very useful as is. Here's my complaints, some I'm sure are obvious...
1) Doesn't pick up my iCal info. Maybe I'm doing something wrong though?
2) Menu icon should display date/time or something, and ideally be moveable.
3) Buttons are especially clunky, and month/year display is inelegant.
4) It'd be nice to be able to move the window, resize, etc.

But really, it's quite a nice little application. Better than some of the equivalents that charge and/or annoy you for using them. Hope you keep going with it.
