What's new in version 0.8.9r2
Although the core has not been touched, there are many improvements on the pipe side:
This is the second release of MediaPipe0.8.9 and it fixes some minor incompatibilities with the AAC, the XViD pipes and MacOSX 10.2
- The MPEGDemuxer has been greatly improved
- New XViDDecoder and XViDEncoder (with support for 2 pass VBR encoding)
- MPEGDecoder is slightly faster (now based on libmpeg2 instead of ffmpeg)
- MPEG video is now processed directly in YUV color space
