Version: MediaMonkey Standard 3.1.0.1256
Pros: Substantial memory savings; doesn't reorganize your files at every turn like itunes, and pretty easy to use once you take some time to acquaint yourself with it.
Cons: Stupid amazon.com popup windows are ANNOYING, and sometimes if switching between windows it looks a little funny--not a big deal.
Summary: Like many others, i was sick of itunes, and all it's worthless features. I want a simple, straightforward music player. Well, I have it now. MM alphabetized, organized and simplified ALL my files before I even used it once! Easy interface, customizab... read more

Version: MediaMonkey Standard 3.1.0.1256
Pros: Very easy to set up and use.
Cons: Don't like the song information screens. They seem small and I find them difficult.
Like the gold update features for files but can get that with some of the other music managers without paying.Summary: Good but not great. Probably the most reliable of the half dozen or so that I have tried. read more

Version: MediaMonkey Standard 3.1.0.1256

Cons: Certain features only available with paid software. Understandable, but would like to have a preview before buying.

"Lots of great features, must have software for Windows"
Pros: Many features that are integrated really well. File conversion is great, and his software works well with podcasts. Compatible with MTP, UMS/MSC, and most iPod devices.
Cons: Does not support AAC/m4a. Not as easy to adjust playback speed as Windows Media Player.
Summary: Even if you only get the free version, this software is must have for all sorts of random audio stuff. This is the only free, good way to do format conversions with advanced settings. read more
