    "Excellent."

    by Chainmail2006 on May 8, 2008

Pros: For those unfamiliar, I can guarantee it works perfectly with 32 bit Vista. This a well designed, well thought out, simple to use music player, organizer, burning solution all in one app.

Cons: No cone on Media Monkey. I suggest the complaints be re-addressed by those posters because they couldn't be more wrong. Reminds me of the garbage, useless reviews on AVG free & AdAware 2007.

"I've been using MM for well over a year."

    by Charles K on May 7, 2008

Pros: With great results. Unlike the review claiming not a Vista version, it works juat as good on my XP Pro and Vista 32bit Home Premium and Ultimate systems. I boudht the pro varsion last fall, way before version 3 was available at download, com and never looked back. It's a lifetime key. Easy to use, player, organizer and CD burner all in one program.

Cons: No cons at all on this program. Just a note: have a good look at the aadd / scan files options or you might find yourself redoing it like I did, Thats only because my 1900+ song collection ws started almost 5 years ago and my folder / play lists are already done.

    "Useful but flawed..."

by PVTele on August 16, 2007

Pros: Excellent library management, tag editing, file conversion, ripping and burning. Lots of less obvious features, including the ability to create statistics for just about every use, and a locked-down "party" mode that prevents casual interference.

Cons: Full of nag screens - just about every menu and dialog has options that are only available in the paid "Pro" version, and they make this abundantly clear at every possible opportunity. Very limited skinning - doesn't worry me, as the interface is pleasant enough as it is, but compared with Winamp or even XMPlay it's distinctly lacking. Worst of all, the sound is just not up to the best players. There is a replay gain facility, with an anti-clipping option, but it doesn't seem to work (maybe it's only for paying customers???) and the result is the digital equivalent of preamp distortion. Compared with XMPlay in particular it just sounds rough and harsh. Pity, because the concept is great, and the program is fast, stable and intuitive to use.

    "Accessible like no other"

by blablupp on November 26, 2006

Pros: Stores tag info in an msaccess database so you can read/modify it like any other db in addtion to the scripting. Perfect for backup/restore in the event of tag corruption.

Cons: Does not store cover art. no lyric search/display. rudmientary video (no biggie-not its purpose), just minor faults.

"This Player Is Bad To The Bone!"

    by Big.Daddy.1124 on November 7, 2006

Pros: I have been dealing with media for years that Windows Media Player wouldn't allow me to tag with the correct information. It is nice to see the name of the songs instead of "track 1."

Media Monkey has a lot of features that makes it much better than Windows Media Player - so many in fact that it would be hard to speak of them in this review. However, they make the download of Media Monkey worth the time!

I think you will find it easier to deal with your music media with this wonderful player.

The auto-tag feature in Media Monkey is a lot better then the album update feature in Windows Media Player too!

Cons: Few, and you will forget about them once you get used to using the program!
