"Just read the reviews.. consumer or enterprise, BAD BUY"
Version: McAfee Total Protection 2012
Pros
They are trying to keep up with Symantec Endpoint Protection & Norton (Symantec). Its good to see they are putting in effort but the price break sure is he11 not worth the viruses, malware and such that come with bad security.
Cons

"THE WORST AV SOFTWARE (PAID OR FREE)I HAVE EVER SEEN"
Version: McAfee Total Protection 2012
Pros
Nothing at all
Cons
-low detection rate
-various false positives
-ineffective in removing even the detected threats
-crappy user interface
-more of a hindrance than a helpSummary
I got this crap along with Dell XPS l502x as one year
subscription ( of course i didn't knew that i am
wasting my money on this nonsense). After activation,
it worked smoothly for some days but its truth got
revealed when my laptop got infected with a bug.
Although it detected the bug, it failed to remove the
latter even after several restarts. It also detected
the youtube downloader software as virus and put that
in the virus vault. I had used that youtube software
several times and knew that there was no malicious
content in it. I tried to make some changes in the
McAfee user interface but one can hardly customise
this silly thing as per the need. The worst was yet to
come. It tempered with the registry of Accuweather
software & Dell Service tag due to which the Dell
website failed to gain the access of my laptop
info.for providing updates.Ultimately, i uninstalled
this So-called anti-virus software after just one
month of use and installed Microsoft Essential
security software. I was surprised to know that during
the first time scanning, Microsoft Essential detected
about half a dozen trojans and effectively removed
them and unlike the paid McAfee crap, this comes free
of cost!
So i will not recommend this software to anyone.
