Version: McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox 26.6
"More important than a anti-virus program!"
Pros: I have used this software for a couple of years and it has made my surfing safe.
Cons: I would have given this program five stars if it did not have compatibility problems with Firefox. It generally works with Firefox but sometimes it just disappears and I will have to install it again.
Summary: I think that McAfee Siteadvisor is more important to have installed in a pc than a anti-virus software as it will keep surfing very safe. Naturally a anti-virus software should be installed as well. I have had Siteadvisor installed for a couple of years and it has made wonders to my pc´s security. This together with Avast anti-virus is a very good combination indeed. I do not have any malware problems. I feel that Siteadvisor gives a more accurate and professional view based on facts of a site than WOT. This because the site is professionally tested. Some people argue, though, that this is not so, but I do believe it is so as McAfee do test the sites against their software. I want facts and not only views. For a example WOT gives a licensed dealer of Norton anti-virus software in Sweden a red sign or mark as not trustworthy and I think that is ridiculous. Peoples feelings about Norton should no gauge their verdict. That unprofessional. Thanks McAfee!

Updated on Sep 6, 2009I do not use McAfee Siteadvisor any more as it is not fully compatible with firefox. I think it is very bad that McAfee has not updated this program since a year ago. Compatibility problems with firefox has been for years I use WOT instead.
