Avoid this crap! It will slow down your computer to an intolerable level, and it can not be uninstalled. I did find the uninstaller (it is in the Applications folder), ran it (it completes successfully), but then this crapware creeps in again and continues to run! I have version 1.0. -

Must be a very nice system.. As us Americans can not use it...
Got it to download.. Still has problems: Please uninstall McAfee Security as it has expired and, Install an updated version.

Pros
THe program doesn't intrude on every day tasks, nor make my system any slower. Overall it has a good user interface, but I can't determine malware-catching "effectiveness" since there doesn't seem to be any viruses on my system.
Cons
One thing I don't like about it is that it delays the loading of the menu bar upon login by one or two seconds. Other than that, it is a good product, just pretty useless.

It is overall well-designed in terms of usability and everything, but slows down my computer a bit on login. The menu bar takes a couple seconds longer than usual to load up. Also, it is a pretty useless piece of software, although it could become more useful in the future, depending on what happens. Right now there simply aren't very many viruses or malware for OS X... I've had this program ever since its beta release and it hasn't detected any threats yet. So basically, the program may or may not be worth the two seconds it uses up at login; I'm pretty neutral about it.

Just tried to download that beta. It is spiked with so many obstacles and sign-up procedures that I had to give up. Browser incompatibilities, link to the wrong package - it downloaded a .exe installer. Just not worth the effort..
Stay away unless you have nerves of steel and the patience of a saint!
