It's a pity that this program is for Windows platform only because we wish to use it to train Mac and Unix users typing skills.
Summary
Being a university tutor I use MaxType in a classroom of the State University to train students typing skills. It's the best program for this purposes! The course lasts for 2 monthes twice a week. This time is more than enough to develop touch typing skill with speed more than 250 symbols per second and excellent accuracy. I think MaxType has everything you need to develop typing skills - no matter where you are, at home or in a school. It has 6 different typing modes including Lessons, Extreme typing, Typing Test, Network typing etc.

It's a good program that I enjoyed using and my students enjoyed learning on.
Cons
After paying for full access on 2 computers (almost $40.00), our computer center never received the necessary passwords. All 3 emails requesting the password went unanswered.
BEWARE if you decide to purchase the full version of this product!!Summary
I would CAUTION anyone who decides to purchase the full version of this product to BEWARE!!
You may end up like we did with no usable password and several unanswered emails asking for a password to enable us to use the product we purchased. -
"Really nice Typing Tutor"

I found this program better than all other I've tried last month (TypingMaster, Key Advantage, etc. ). It REALLY teaches to touch-type. Extreme mode helped me to increase typing speed up to 300 CPS.

I like Extreme typing mode and possibility to replay file of users typing. And Network Challenge... is something! The only program which allows to make real typing duel!

I like interesting step-by-step lesson mode, it's wonderful that MaxType supports not only QWERTY but also DVORAK AZERTY and Russian keyboard layouts.
