If you tried to install on a mac with iWorek components bought from mac App Store, you must make a bit of trickery.
Create a subfolder named "iWork '09" in the applications folder and move the iWork applications in this new folder. Move the three in a single task so you will be asked to type your password only once.
    Then install MathType.
This one was designed for the iWork released as a single package whose applications were stored in the folder Applications:iWork

Thanks to my trickery, the app may connect to the new structure of the apps.
