"Microsoft Pocket Streets has NOTHING on this!"

    February 10, 2005  |   By deluxeplus

    Pros

Just purchased the 2005 version of streets and trips from Microsoft. It included Pocket streets and trips. I got it because it supported GPS, and I assumed that it would give turn by turn directions. On a laptop, yes, on the pocket PC, NO. It simply shows where you are on the map. Need directions to get to a certain address. On the Laptop, it's great, but this feature isn't included on the pocket pc.. Why microsoft? I downloaded mapopolis, and this software is FLAWLESS! The GPS gives turn by turn, VOICE directions..miss your turn, it re-directs you. have you though,'how much further do I have to go?" when your really close to your destination? Simply take the stylus, and trace the map to your end point, and it will show how many ft you have to go. I just tried this 5 minutes ago.. drove around the block, and I LOVE this product. This is really all you need. an A+++ product. If you need a map, directions, or GPS, you can't go wrong..you NEED this!

    Cons

I haven't seen where I have to go to purchase the software. I want to buy this NOW. My real CON is that I can't take back the MS Streets and trips. I should have looked at mapopolis first!

Go to their web site to purchase maps. You can purchase indivdual map at a price or buy the MapPack for a year unlimited download. The web site is mapopolis.com (of course it is a www web site)

    Hope this help.
