Version: MapCreator Free Edition 1
"Thanks for the great freeware program!"
Pros: I always wondered how to create world maps easily and this program really knocked my head on the back :). You are able to set up plenty of attributes for the world map, like colors for water types/continents, weather, view types (fe. from space), size, etc. It was very easy to use, however, it might need a better processor and memory for fast changes.
You have plenty of possibilities to choose from at saves, including bmp, jpg, pbm, pgm (i haven't met with these 2 before), png, ppm (nor with this), tga and tiff.
Cons: A bit makes me wonder why the not free release got the "personal edition", instead of "pro" or something alike. I'd like a setting for custom pixel sizes, i missed it very much.
The warning message is German (overwrite) and the overwrite ask for an earlier map which has a different extension (could that be the not asked MCR?).
Limit is a limit, write down that there are limits for sizes at this version.
