    "frustrating"

    February 11, 2013  |   By fannyfernackerpanz

    Version: ManyCam 3.0.80

    Pros

it's mildly amusing to play with the effects and take snaps of yourself

    Cons

There is a huge problem as it will not record sounds so if you want to upload a video onto youtube and say something, or make a video blog, you'll capture the video but it'll be silent.

    Summary

hundreds of thousands of people have issues with sound recording with manycam. A google search shows this and there is apparently no resolution. I've spent 2 days trying one thing and another all to no avail. The best part of manycam for me will be uninstalling it!

"Fails to recognize USB video capture devices."

    August 26, 2012  |   By onecubicmile

    Version: ManyCam 3.0.80

    Pros

Has potential to be a really great software but was not compatible with 100% of my video equipment.

    Cons

Fails to recognize USB analog capture devices, no workarounds, no online help, manual is vague and incomplete. Unstable for pro webcasting.

    Summary

I liked the features and would have considered buying but it was frustrating to keep seeing the same "can't not connect" message over and over with no suggestions for a workaround.

    "Great if it works."

    July 10, 2012  |   By iHamtaro

    Version: ManyCam 3.0.80

    Pros

It will open about one out of every twenty tries.

    Cons

    It is slow to open
It uses around 400mb of RAM
    It almost always force closes
    Constantly returns errors
It makes my new computer amazingly slow
    It freezes my entire computer

    Summary

This application worked for about half an hour. After that, it returned error messages almost non stop. If the program opens(rarely), it has to be force closed in the task manager. It has completely frozen my computer countless times, to the point where ctrl-alt-delete doesn't even work. I am pretty computer savvy, but I can't get this software to work. I have tried compatibility mode, I have tried re-installing, I have restarted, I have done everything I can think of because I really want this software to work. I just don't understand how a program like this can use 400mb of ram as soon as it starts up. I have 4 small pictures imported into it, and it should at least be able to open those. I have to open task manager before I open this application, so I can force close it before it freezes my entire computer.

I have given this application the benefit of the doubt for too long. I wish it worked.
I am using windows 7 home premium 64bit with an intel core i5 processor.
I noticed that it opens in the notifications menu after one click, but if you drag the cursor over it without clicking, it disappears. After only one click, one icon with the manycam logo shows up in the notification menu, accompanied by around 40 unknown icons that also disappear if you drag the cursor over them.

"A very good all round piece of software"

    July 10, 2012  |   By frankturner

    Version: ManyCam 3.0.80

    Pros

Apart from the main one of being free it does the job that it is advertised to do exremely well. Have used ManyCam for several years even on my old laptop using Windows XP, now running a 64bit machine with Windows 7 MantCam through all of the major improvements continues to function without failure.

    Cons

scannot think of any major problems in using and installing the many new versions through the years of use.

    Summary

one of the very good pieces of freeware available

"Manycam has always served me well!"

    July 6, 2012  |   By RUupTOit

    Version: ManyCam 3.0.80

    Pros

I can't remember exactly when I downloaded Manycam for the first time. It was on my XP machine and now after 2 1/2 years on my Windows 7 machine I couldn't be happier with it. I have used 4 webcams with Manycam and the cameras all improved in several ways. I realize it is the special effects that get the most headlines... I seldom use them though, if ever. These are the things I like.

Video source lists all cameras as well as my TV/video and I select which I want to broadcast. It can be my live web cam, A video I have on my hard drive, a still photo or even a full motion picture if it is on my computer. With the newer versions of Manycam I can have up to 4 video source playing on the split screen simultaneously.

The resolution can be set as high as 1280 x 960 even if the cameras own software could not produce such HD out put.

Colors, Brightness and saturation are fully adjustable

    Cons

The only con I have is not with Manycam, it is the programs cnet wants me to install when installing Manycam. I realize cnet has to pay the bills, I only wish there was a better selection of programs to choose from.

    Summary

This is a very good program.

The camera's original software still functions along side Manycam. For example, use your camera software to zoom to the maximum then use Manycam to zoom even more.

HD audio is there as well.

It works with every site I have used it on and there are a lot of them. You can also use Manycam to record audio/video as well as snapshot photos.

I have tried other webcam software but Manycam has always pulled out ahead.
