"Well worth the time to download"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.53
Pros
it comes with a lot of little things like effects. easy to use
Cons
the only thing i see is the fact in reality, you only get one cam there is no many cams till you upgrade
-
"It is free!"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.53
Pros
I just ask I get everything good for free. hehe
Cons
I cannot think of one.
Summary
Jesus Christ! I would have to say ManyCam has come a long ways. It used to be a simple webcam capture software. Now, it has all sorts of special effects. The basics is all you really need. Thanks to the producer. I needed a nice webcam capture software.

"Looks like you have to buy it to get it to work"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.51
Pros
- Installed easily enough
- Linked to Skype easilyCons
- Not going to buy it until I can try it
- Backgrounds would not load/work, even after doing everything according to instructions on the Manycam website
- Seems intuitive, but obviously not
- Even though it linked to Skype, still no effects
- Manycam doesn't release the resource when you shut it down. When you go back to your integrated camera in Skype settings, you have to shut down/restart Skype for the camera to work.Summary
Don't waste your time unless you want to buy it from the get-go. I'm uninstalling and looking for something else.

"Forced Toolbar"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.43
Pros
Don't know, didn't get to use it.
Cons
Opted out of the Ask Toolbar during installation. It still forced it on me.
Freezes whenever I open it. I have more than enough power in my PC to handle it, so I know it's not a lack of RAM or anything.Summary
Meh.

"Good Enough 4 Me"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.43
Pros
One of the pros I like is that this is NOT attached to any given website. Thus I can freely use it as a security feature to where I live.
Cons
It takes a little while to get use to.
I am trying to figure out how to incorporate this into my webpage. -
"I love it!"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.43
Pros
Ability to add a clock or other images and edits to the webcam image you are streaming.
Cons
None that I'm aware of.
Summary
Been using Manycam for several years now for streaming via Skype and my web TV channel and it works great!

"Each version get more bloated"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.43
Pros
It's free and it provides the basic virtual webcam functions I need.
Cons
Each iteration gets larger and larger and larger and more intrusive.

"Abysmal Cam"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.43
Pros
I really can't think of many - it WAS in English... it did DL and install!
Cons
I'm not exactly a tyro when it comes to PCs or webcams, and this is software you can safely skip - you will miss nothing. The program as it downloads is empty of effects, unclear as to procedures, not intuitive, and like the growing "FREE" MMOs you still got to pay to play.I downloaded some free effects, but they were not available when I ran the program and I did not see install instructions for them. Mostly the program is designed to get you to BUY the PRO version, making "free" a freely interpreted concept.
Summary
Difficult to comprehend; equally difficult to use successfully. Bottom line: DON'T bother.
-
"frustrating"
Version: ManyCam 3.0.80
Pros
it's mildly amusing to play with the effects and take snaps of yourself
Cons
There is a huge problem as it will not record sounds so if you want to upload a video onto youtube and say something, or make a video blog, you'll capture the video but it'll be silent.
Summary
hundreds of thousands of people have issues with sound recording with manycam. A google search shows this and there is apparently no resolution. I've spent 2 days trying one thing and another all to no avail. The best part of manycam for me will be uninstalling it!

"Too Unstable"
Version: ManyCam 3.1.41
Pros
Older free versions work well but with limited features.
Cons
Persistent hangs with the paid version on both my computers (Win7 64Pro laptop and Win7 64Ultimate workstation). Very disappointing for $50 software
Summary
I bought the Pro version as I'd been happy with the older version (2.49) of Manycam I'd been using and wanted the features of Manycam Pro. Unfortunately the $50 was wasted as the program hangs and crashes if you try to use the Pro features. This occurs pretty much the same on both my computers Both computers are fast machines (i5 and i7 and both have plenty of RAM - 16GB on the workstation). I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope that the pro version will be much use to anyone with a Win7 64 bit OS.
Just re-read the review, given that the Editor gave this SW a far higher rating than the users have and I now wonder if he/she actually tested the Pro features?
