I see many comments about this version not being free, and that it is a trial version. Follow these instructions and you will have the 'free' version Malware Bytes. Before clicking the final instal button, uncheck the, 'enable free trial box', then uncheck the, 'launch Malware Bytes box', leave the, 'update Malbare Bytes' box checked, then click on the final instal button. Once installed, Malware Bytes will then update automatically from the data base. Once the update has completed, launch Malware Bytes, go to settings, uncheck the following, 'send anonamous data' box, 'automatically save log' box, and the 'automatically open log file when log is saved' box. Click exit. This will then give you the free version of Malware Bytes.
You must remember, the free version is only a virus scanner which will only have two scans available for use, the quick scan, and the full system scan. The flash scan is only available to registered users.
