You don't know what you are doing. The installer ask if you want to run the trial version simply click no it automatically installs the freeware version. The only difference between the free version and the paid version is the paid version autoscans and is online active. If you choose to operate in the free version then you must do your own update and run your own scans. This is little to ask for the absolute best antimalware software on the net. I operate a wireless internet service provider network and we require the installation of the software by all our customers. It is bar none the best piece of protection you can get. Virus's are the least of our problems these days. Malware infections account for more than half of the service calls we got before implementing it as a requirement on our network. Since we have done it has cut the number of service calls in half or more. No more constant customer calls about our network running slow.

Your review is a con! Are you a competitor? Malwarebytes is one of the most trusted antimalware applications there is.

You downloaded something else by mistake. This is freeware and has never installed other software.
