Even the pro version can be disabled by root programs that install at startup and prevent Malwarebytes from loading.
Summary
The Pro version was installed on my system at the computer store and I reimbursed the store for the software. However, a malware infection caused Malwarebytes to be blocked from loading at startup. I had to rename the .exe file to run it to find the malware, then I had to reload the Malwarebytes program. I was shocked to discover that Malwarebytes does not keep records on Pro version registrations and they are unable to provide the license keys to reactivate the software. This is the first time I've experienced a situation where the software provider does not keep registration information. Bizarre. So, minus 2 stars for failing to prevent the malare from installing and minus 1 star for registration fail.
