Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.41
"Not needed if you already have adequate protection."
Pros: Can detect some malwares, but does it really detect what the others miss? So far I have found that to be true. I always check what I download and install, for other who don't know how to check their downloads this tool maybe very beneficial.
Cons: The paid version, don't waste your time for the price it is not worth it. You can get avast free version, AVG free or Avira Free and just use MBAM as a extra scanner.
Summary: Free version can be very beneficial for those who don't have adequate protection and don't watch what they download and install. It has very good rogue and nag software detection. But this product is not a full anti-malware like many believe it to be, the paid version is no substitute for an anti-virus software. Because if you have a real malicious infection, then this product will not work for removing it.
This product has been highly over rated to be the cure of all malware problems, no products detects everything and this products detects much less than what its competitors can detect, therefore it can not be no better. It is just good a getting the latest rogue and nag software, some spywares and adwares, but doesn't detect malicious viruses, trojans or worms.
