Pros
I used the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) to get rid of the FBI Malware Virus which locked my Windows 7 64-bit Laptop. This company deserves special recognition for the outstanding results that I obtained from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.75.
Cons
I for one ordered the pro version. Set it and forget it.

I used the free version. So it cost me only hours of my time.
Cons
This hung up my computer, using 96-98% of the CPU and locking out attempts to remove it for hours. I finally used Windows Explorer to destroy a few parts at the beginning of each restart until I hit something vital. This took hours.
Summary
I wish it had worked. I wish CNet had warned me of this possibility.

It found that freaking FBI virus (I hated that thing with a passion!), and it's found most other Malware and ousted them pretty decently!
Cons
Don't download the free pro trial unless you want your free one to expire! Also, I'm not sure it can find Babylon, which is the most annoying freaking thing on the planet and ridiculously hard to remove!
Summary
All in all, its free, totally recommend it. Works well.

"Did not find WHITESMOKE malware"

Easy to download, install, and scan

After running two full scans (one in Safe Mode) and two quick scans in Windows 8 this trial version did not detect WHITESMOKE malware or it's parent CONDUIT.com which attached itself to the BING search bar. I even contacted Microsoft support and the tech suggested using Malwarebytes in Safe Mode which still did not detect it.
Summary
I have used Malwarebytes trial version before and it has routed out malware but this time it, and Windows Defender, both failed so I don't know if I'm willing to shell out $25 for the full version.

I had a virus called system care antivirus i went to you tube and did what it said but when i got ready to clean my system they wanted 40.00 to fix it. So I did something I didn't think would work . I did a system restore a couple of days back and then run my antivirus. It has worked fine for a week now. so why spend the money if you don't have too.
