"What Is Wrong With This Version and The Last One?"

    December 7, 2014  |   By glenijoy

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.4.1028

    Pros

    None at the moment.

    Cons

Even with the last version, I can't remember when it actually finished a scan. I downloaded this latest version and it stopped just before the end. Like the last version, it froze everything. I couldn't pause, close it or get it off my screen. Could not restart my pc, so had to shut it down by turning it off. Like the last version. Then windows wants to do a disc check because pc has not been shut down properly. Have reinstalled, but, don't like my chances of it scanning to the end. For a well known product, and trusted, it is starting to suck. What's the point of having it?

    Summary

Maybe I need to look for another malware fighter. Just disappointed in the last two versions.

    "Great idea but SO unreliable"

    December 3, 2014  |   By JERBY_PFF

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.4.1028

    Pros

    Protection while it is working

    Cons

Frequently falls apart and stops working - Google it.

    Summary

This product could be great but I am afraid it is "not ready for prime time" and
I am guessing that it will never be so.

    "Good but lacks some options"

    December 2, 2014  |   By lololala1245

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

Decent. It does what it says.

    Cons

I can't find the auto-clean threats and turn off computer options. Are they available ? If not, please add them to the program. I will give 5 stars once they are available

    "Cyber-Stalking"

    December 1, 2014  |   By kathleenmcb

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

    Perhaps they are a good service/product; however . . .

    Cons

Harassment worse than any beggar I've ever encountered on the street and compromising my work time and computer performance.

    Summary

Not only will I not renew MWB for my laptop, I will not purchase it for my desktop. One purpose of keeping good records is to not harass existing customers. I am seriously annoyed by the continuous pop-ups while scrambling on a deadline. Since both my computers are tied to the same e-mail account, it shouldn't have been that hard to tell I was already a customer. There is nothing that turns me off faster than a corporation with a begging/pushing mentality.

    Customers, the new corporation crack.

    "Solid Addition to Security"

    November 10, 2014  |   By DarkWorks1962

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

Works great as a superb layer of protection with the integrated anti-virus and firewall within Microsoft. No need to purchase yearly subscriptions that are a day late, a week late, or more in updating the latest zero-day trash. Runs smooth, no lag or drag on system resources. Get the premium and get peace of mind!

    Cons

None. Been using this product since they came out.

    "excellent product"

    November 9, 2014  |   By ChoiceVoice

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

-it is a standard in tech circles for cleaning infected systems. for those that frequent malware cleaning sites, you will find that this product is part of their solution.
-pc mag highly recommends this product.
    -good company
-signatures are focused on finding newer malware that your regular antivirus might miss.
-an excellent demand scanner. and the paid upgrade runs light on my system.

    Cons

-demand scanner may install startup (i can't remember if it does ... just remove it in settings by turning off scheduled scan, or with winpatrol).

    Summary

i love this company, they caught iobit from stealing their signatures.

"Free version allowed a dangerous trojan onto system"

    November 3, 2014  |   By CIAdj

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

    Simple install, runs in background

    Cons

Free version allowed a dangerous trojan onto my system. Started getting memory loads and system lock ups from dllhost.exe COM surrogate, multiple instances. Took forever to solve the problem, Hitman Pro finally did the trick. Does nothing to block tracking cookies. In general, a waste of money, if the free version is an example.

    Summary

Don't waste your time or money.

"It really likes to gobble up nasties! BRAVO"

    November 1, 2014  |

    Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3.1025

    Pros

Does not take forever and ever to do its job. People need to remind them selves that this program, while it catches some spyware, is not an anti-spyware program. There is the also free 'Superantispyware' program for that. Malwarebytes CORRECTLY presumes that if you download and install it that you want to be rid of malware. DUH? To that end, it automatically starts a scan upon first startup, which action can easily be changes in 'settings' Some user interaction is expected. Not everything in life is done FOR you.

    Cons

    None seen.

    Summary

Since 1988, I've been fixin' these critters we call computers and have observed that 99.9% of problems with them truly are Promlems In Chair, Not In Computer (PICNIC), including my own 'problems' My heartfelt recommendation is to read, read, read - read thoroughly all instructions with any program, including Malwarebytes and Antispyware. You'll be much happier for doing so
