"uninstalled-residual files remaining"

August 05, 2014  |  By mebtz

 |  Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA 0.9.2 beta

Pros

Didn't realize it was running most of the time.

Cons

Beta expired. Downloaded new version and still got same error that beta expired contact them. Was annoying popup every time I went to a website and I work online so I uninstalled through my Control Panel. Got message uninstall successful but there were remaining files that could be deleted without worry (manually). But when I go to the folder in my programs directory delete or send to recycle bin is not allowed because it's "open in another location" Task manager won't allow me to end the process because "access is denied" and I'm the administrator. Super annoying beeping pop ups downloading files or opening websites. Argh.

 |  Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA 0.9.2 beta

Pros

Not going to try it....

Cons

According to the reviews I am not even going to install it.

Summary

It surprises me that Malwarebytes can offer software with so many flaws... they have always been known for their excellent software especially their scanner.... i am very surprised to say the least......

"Not ready for prime time"

July 02, 2013  |  By ejmfoley

 |  Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA 0.9.2 beta

Pros

Has Malwarebytes name.

Cons

After installing on XP3, things started acting funny immediately. Icons on the desktop changed places or disappeared, most websites took 10 times as long to load, some wouldn't load at all. It looked more like malware than a malware preventer.

Summary

Uninstalled. Evan if it worked, who cares if websites won't load?

"No Thank You"

June 23, 2013  |  By crsecon

 |  Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA 0.9.2 beta

Pros

Prevented many "exploits" from opening......................

Cons

including IE10, the well-known malware from Washington State. Everything slowed to a crawl as well.

Summary

Unistalled with IUobit Uninstaller advanced. Still blocked IE10. Had to go nuclear with Ultra Virus Killer on each file remaining revealed by Windows Explorer file search. Back to basic functioning now.

"Word Add ins could be blocked"

June 23, 2013  |  By cesarinternational

 |  Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit BETA 0.9.2 beta

Pros

It works well.

Cons

I have 2 Word add ins in my computer. Malwarebytes Anti-exploit notified me that there was a exploit when I tried to open Word. I think it did not let me run Word. Therefore I had to close the Anti-exploit when I wanted to use Word. The Anti-exploit starts when Window starts and I use Word everyday. Therefore I chose to uninstall it until they fix the issue. The Anti-exploit told me that there was a exploit, did not tell me what was wrong (that there was a problem in Word) and there was no way to selectively allow the Word add-ins to run.

Summary

It works well, but if you have Word Add-ins then you will have to close the Anti-exploit to be able to use Word.
