Considering the amount of effective and free antispyware applications that crowd the scene, we have a tough time endorsing one that can't even remove the intruders it finds. There's no doubt that Malware Scanner's interface is slick, but it could be more convenient. For instance, the nonresizable window and the small pane for displaying information make viewing lists of detected threats a chore. And similar to many programs of this class, this one eats a large amount of system memory when running in the background. This app's real-time adware shield somewhat disappointed us; it stopped a number of nasties but also let through some well-known spyware components. The malware scanner fared much better, quickly and accurately ferreting out the lion's share of adware we installed for testing purposes. Unfortunately, the demo won't actually remove any of the malicious programs it finds, which is a serious problem in our book. Therefore, we'd suggest most users pick from the many more functional antiadware utilities at their disposal.

The interface is more like a flash-website. I guess its creator spent more time on the design than what it can do for you.
Cons
There is no option or log-file to view what was removed. You cannot change the size of the interface, and the text/information is too limited, forcing you to use the scroll-bars to view the info. On the ABOUT section of this software, there is no information on whom the product is registered to, such as your name and serial number. I would rather find a better software than waste money on this "judge a book by its cover" piece of junk.

Nice looking intuitive interface, easy install, an uninstaller that really works. Also has a straightforward EULA that sets off no alarms.
Cons
The initial scan on a system that had just been scanned with 5 other apps flagged 12 entries including 9 registry entries and 3 tracking cookies. 6 of the registry entries were related to detection signatures of other applications and their removal would have left me less protected than before. The remaining reg entries were too nonspecific to evaluate. The tracking cookies all came from either security forums or online security scans and are therefore ignored.

The program has the small size and the nice looking interface, clear even to the beginner. Very powerful spyware/adware detection and removal software. You can clean your computer easily and fast. But don't forget to download latest updates. Recommended.

The product doesn't run like a regular anti-virus and firewall, it is more developed. It scans for spyware and updates when you press the update button. Also, it doesn't slow your computer or runs at startup either

It doesnt remove anything, its also advertised almost everywhere else as 'freeware' which its definitely not. On completing the scan it will tell you to buy it to remove the objects so this is actually very useless. If your looking to buy a software, this is it, if your looking to try a software before buying it, this is definitely not it.

I caught a drive-by virus from a popup window while checking the availability of a domain name for a client. The virus (a Trojan Horse) continually booted me from IE and inserted hyperlinks into a website I was building. The links weren't in the source code, so I couldn't just delete them. I tried no less than four adware/spyware removal tools Malware Scanner, none of which worked. The Malware product caught more than 200 nasty files and fingerprints that the others had missed! It zapped the problem and saved me the many hours of work it would have taken to rebuild the site from scratch. I'm really thrilled and grateful. Thanks Malware Scanner!!
